Fun fact// My husband and I purchased our first home, a fixer-upper, without me having toured the home. When he toured it, he exclaimed to our broker that he wasn’t worried about the seemingly terrible layout or condition of the house as he knew I would find a solution. His famous last words were, ‘Sarah can figure it out’.

hello, i’m sarah

i knew i wanted to be an architect when i was ten & i drink my coffee black//

In all honesty, it took two rounds of Whole 30 and working for a coffee company to get me to actually ‘enjoy’ black coffee instead of tolerate it.

My success and experience working in a traditional architectural firm setting and as a third-party construction project manager has given me a skill set to tackle projects of all sizes and complexity, ensuring that every detail is thoughtfully designed and executed.

Every project is a puzzle and I get the greatest joy out of searching for the perfect solution to provide a functional and aesthetically pleasing space. Design projects with constraints and challenges are welcome; with those the design solutions are the richest.

I work with clients with many different design styles, but in all projects I strive to use natural materials and ensure the project is strongly rooted in context.

I hold a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon and am a licensed Architect in the state of Washington.

When I’m not working in the studio, you can find me outdoors exploring Seattle and beyond or spending time with my husband and raising my little design assistant in training, aka my son.
